ECISD to Start School Two Hours Late on Thursday 9/13
Posted by Melanie Thibodeaux on 12 Sep 2007
ECISD Superintendent Scott Campbell announced this afternoon that all East Chambers schools will start two hours later, due to the late developing tropical storm Humberto sitting just off the coast.

Latest weather reports have the rain and wind moving on shore in the late evening and early morning hours tomorrow. Because winds are expected to be between 35 and 45 miles per hour with gusts at 50 to 60 mph in some squalls as they move inland, high profile vehicles, such as school buses, vans and trucks should avoid travel during those hours.

Campbell indicated that while rain will still be a factor at 10 am tomorrow, any dangerous winds should have subsided and buses will run as they normally do, just two hours later.

Any further developments or information can be obtained from the school's information line at 409-296-6100.
